VOGT OVER TIME
1954
Richard Vogt Linder and his brothers Otto and Fritz started their legacy in a small 400 m² metalworking shop in Santiago, Chile.
1958
The first centrifugal pumps for the agricultural and construction markets are manufactured.
1962
The first hydropneumatic equipment is manufactured, with pressure tanks and air recovery systems.
1968
A license is obtained from Allweiler to manufacture multistage pumps.
1979
The joint-stock company Industria Mecánica VOGT S.A. is legally established.
1985
The first technical catalog of VOGT pumps is published, featuring hydraulic curves and detailed specifications for each model.
1986
The Álvarez de Toledo warehouses in San Miguel are acquired, expanding the infrastructure to 3,400 m².
1992
A branch is opened in Concepción to directly serve industrial customers in the area.
1994
After four decades at the helm, Richard Vogt Lindner formally handed over responsibility to his son, Ricardo Vogt Baeza, who had previously served as deputy general manager and took over as general manager with a mandate to professionalize and modernize the company.
1996
The contract for the pumping system for Telefónica’s corporate building in Santiago has been awarded.
2000
More than 80,000 bombs had been manufactured and the first website, www.vogt.cl, was launched.
2001
The first raft pump is manufactured for the agricultural market.
2004
The first raft pump is manufactured for the mining market.
2004
The first project for special steel pumps for the mining market has been awarded.
2005
The first patent for the low-suction vertical cantilever pump is obtained.
2005
The first project was awarded for the dewatering of mine bottoms by means of raft pumps for large-scale mining.
2005
The first package of low-suction pumps for lithium mining in the Salar de Atacama in Chile has been awarded.
2008
A smart pumping system has been awarded for the Costanera Center to supply 62 floors and 5 underground levels, optimizing pressure, space, and efficiency. Skid pumping solutions have been awarded for Titanium Park, ensuring continuous drinking water in Santiago’s most iconic towers.
2010
The largest floating pumps in its history are manufactured, for 1,000 m³/h and 450 HP motors.
2012
One of the most important floating pump and platform projects has been awarded for the main tailings dam of a world-class copper operation.
2014
The company´s distribution network is expanding in the cities of Copiapó, Antofagasta, and Puerto Montt.
2015
An agreement has been reached with one of the world’s largest pump companies for a long-term strategic partnership, integrating the standardized pump program imported for exclusive assembly and marketing in Chile.
2016
Project awarded for grade 12 titanium VTP pumps, manufactured in Asia and assembled at VOGT.
2017
A project for low-suction vertical pumps for lithium mining in Salta, Argentina, has been awarded.
2018
Project awarded for grade 3 titanium process pumps and accessories.
2019
After 25 years of leadership, Ricardo Vogt Baeza formally hands over responsibility to Alberto Campos Villegas, who until then served as commercial manager and took over as general manager, beginning a new phase marked by significant strategic and operational challenges.
2019
A major low-voltage modular electrical room has been awarded for a mining operation in northern Chile.
2021
The First IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) Project has been awarded, enabling real-time visualization of instantaneous and total flows extracted from collection wells.
2022
The contract has been awarded for the design and supply of the largest nitrogen-pressurized water hammer tank in its history, destined for a pulp mill in Chile.
2022
On June 13, 2022, production, commercial, and administrative operations will officially begin at the new headquarters located in the municipality of Quilicura, Santiago.
